Naturalist Lunch Box program is back for summer 2023. The first program will be held on Friday, June 9, at noon, located at South Cove Park. The program includes a short program on plants and activities. Bring a lunch and enjoy the fun.

The Naturalist Lunch Box program requires an RSVP by Wednesday, June 7. To register, contact the BV Conservation Office at 712-295-7985.

The second Naturalist Lunch Box will be held on Friday, June 16 at noon. RSVP for this program by Wednesday, June 14 by calling 712-295-7985.

If you are looking for free entertainment for kids, the naturalist has you covered. We will have three afternoons throughout the summer full of fun activities. The naturalist will be on sight with all the supplies you need to go fishing, as well as different activities and games to play. We will also have supplies for a make and take-home craft as well as snacks.

These activities are free of charge and designed for children ages 2-12. We ask that a parent or guardian stays with the child.

The first Summertime Fishing & Fun will be held on Tuesday, June 20, from 1-3 p.m. at Gabrielson Park/ Gustafson Lake, outside of Sioux Rapids. Come for part of the afternoon or stay for the whole two hours..
