The Big Red Trolley makes a guest appearance at Sheboygan's 2023 Memorial Day Parade.
SHEBOYGAN – Sheboygan's Big Red Trolley will be returning for the 2023 season on Monday, June 12 with a new and improved route.
The trolley, which is officially known as the Harbor Centre Express or Route 40, will continue to service Sheboygan's downtown, riverfront, South Pier, Michigan Avenue and marina, which are all summer hot spots for locals and tourists alike.
This year will provide even more spots, as the route will branch out to include such popular destinations as the John Michael Kohler Arts Center's Art Preserve on Lower Falls Road, Bookworm Gardens, Golf 365 and 3 Sheeps Brewing.
As was the case last season, riders will be able to enjoy unlimited rides all day for only $1. For added convenience, Hot Spot mobile payments are now available.
The Harbor Centre Express will run from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays-Fridays and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays through Sept. 2. There will be no service on Sundays.
The Big Red Trolley, which was purchased from Hometown Trolley in Crandon, Wisconsin, made its debut last year. It is fully accessible for those with disabilities.
